Position Overview:


The Technical Writer is responsible for gathering information and creating technical content for user manuals and product documentation of new machine types and new machine options under supervision of the Senior Technical Writer. The Technical Writer also provides answers to questions from Manual Creators in Order Management Department.



Responsibilities:

- Ensuring availability and quality of content for machine manuals

- Gather information from various sources, existing documentation and literature, technical experts, observation, drawings etc.

- Converting complicated technical information into simple and easy to understand instructions

- Creating and updating content for machine manuals and making it available in the AmbaFlex CMS system

- Build a deep understanding and knowledge of AmbaFlex products and services

- Troubleshooting for the manual creators

- Analyse current information and improve the quality and content

- Use authoring tools to generate documentation in accordance with AmbaFlex standards

Job requirements


What we look for:

- A degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical education

- Relevant work experience in a similar role

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

- Experience with Microsoft Office Programs


Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Experience with creating technical illustrations
- Knowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006-42-EC and general knowledge of European harmonized standards
- Experience with Content Management System
- Experience with writing in Simplified Technical English (STE)
